Valéry Modeste-Jacob is the Co-founder and Lead Partner at Axcilia, an independent firm specialised in Accounting | Tax | Internal Audit | Advisory. Valéry is a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) with a solid track record of more than 15 years of professional experience in providing professional services to organisations across the globe with EY Mauritius and Axcilia. She has worked on a significant number of financial/system audits, expenditure verifications, institutional assessments, internal audits, advisory and engagements for large/multinational organisations in more than 15 countries and focused on serving clients across various industries such as Public funding through local and international donor-funded organisaons, Banking, Global Business, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, ICT, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Sugar and Agricultural, Consumer Business, Seafood and Engineering.

Over the past 5 years, Valéry has broadened her expertise by leading AML/CFT audits and compliance reviews in the global business sector. She has also assisted both for-profit and not-for profit organisations in their development initiatives, business process improvement initiatives, financial and administrative restructuring and business expansion in African territories.

Valéry has a strong interest in the Anti-Fraud profession and is currently pursuing the Certified Fraud Examiner certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the world’s largest anti-fraud organisation.
